Parisian Cobblestones

The high tide
Of restless hearts
Lay claim to Parisian roads

Stirring beneath
The lantern’s glare
The glowing guardian
For wayward passersby

Bonne nuit mes amis
Trudge on with caution
Gracefully, gallantly, and swift

As tavern’s toll
Like a Sunday overture
Bid farewell
And defer
To the folds of night
